Designer’s Voice (2024)
A tribute to designer Jana Traboulsi made on After Effects using traditional pen drawings and illustrated border designs. Inspired by the study of marginalia and calligraphy in Arabic manuscript production; granting devoted attention to the small, subtle elements of book design like phonetics, footnotes, Arabic naming traditions and their link to human anatomy, the materiality of parchment and the role of recitation.
